Commercial Market Wrap 2022

The local commercial property market finished strong in Wollongong despite a number of unavoidable market disruptors such as lockdowns and interest rate rises.

With Covid-19 causing something of an exodus out of metropolitan markets into emerging regions, our city was an attractive option for out-of-town businesses.

For potentially the first time ever, Wollongong has been able to offer true A-Grade commercial opportunities, mixed with a sea-change lifestyle.

There was no doubt that the greatest performer was Industrial Property. This sector remains in high demand, no matter if it is a small strata suite or large warehouse.

We expect this to continue in 2023.

Interest from around the country remains strong and we continue to experience outstanding results

In the lead-up to Christmas, we experienced a strong run of sales of significant commercial and industrial properties totalling just over $40 million in value. This included the sales below;

2.5 Hectare site with a large commercial building

14 Prince of Wales Avenue, Unanderra

141 Crown Street, Wollongong
